Q.Is there anything I should bring with me when I undergo a PCR test?
If you wish to receive Insurance covered PCR, please bring your health insurance card. In addition, if you are going to take a PCR test for the purpose of traveling abroad, you will need to enter your passport number. Please bring the photo or original of your passport.
Q.Where can I get a PCR test for overseas travel?
The Clinic For Group is a clinic designated by the Japan Travel Medicine Society and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as a business track.
PCR tests for overseas travel are currently being carried out at Tamachi and Otemachi. Even if you come directly to the hospital without a reservation, you can have the test done, but if you make a reservation online, you will have less time to wait.
Q.I would like to discuss the schedule for overseas travel.
Please check the website of the embassy of your destination and check the terms and conditions.
Basically, it is possible to report the results and hand over the medical certificate in English according to the following schedule, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
Inspection by 11:30 → Result report by 17:30 on the day (Web confirmation / email report available. You can also hand over the English medical certificate on the day)
Inspection after 11:30 → Until 10:30 the next day Result report (Web confirmation / email report available)
However, in rare cases, we may not be able to report the result at this time due to re-examination. If the conditions of your travel destination allow, we recommend that you allow about a day to take the PCR test.
Q.Can people with symptoms or suspected infections be tested?
Many medical institutions only offer asymptomatic PCR test at their own expense, but the Clinic For Group can have a PCR test for anyone with any symptoms or circumstances.
However, if you have a strong suspicion of the COVID-19, such as high fever, cough, or headache, please visit Tamachi, which has a fever outpatient.
Q.Is the test method saliva? Or is it a method of collecting nasopharyngeal mucus with a cotton swab?
Either is possible.
In mid-July, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare issued guidance stating that even asymptomatic people can use the PCR test with saliva. It is assumed that there was no difference between the two methods. Based on this, basically, we will perform a saliva test.
However, if you come to the hospital, either one is available. If you would like to have a cotton swab test, please let us know when you visit the clinic.
For overseas travelers, depending on the destination, there are countries where cotton swabs (swabs) are specified for collection (eg Malaysia), so we may collect cotton swabs.
Q.How can I apply?
If you are an individual, you do not need to apply.
Please make a reservation on the WEB from the website of the clinic of your choice and visit the clinic.
Only those who have made a reservation on the WEB will be able to check the results on the WEB.

Clinic For Iidabashi Q.Can I take it today? Do I need an appointment?
If you come to the clinic, you can have a PCR test on the same day.
If you make a reservation from the website, you will have less time to wait, but even if you come to the clinic without a reservation, you can have the PCR test on the day.
Q.How can I get the results?
You can either visit the clinic or check it online.
Q.What should I do if I should be positive?
If you are positive, the doctor / nurse at the clinic will contact you directly by phone. The clinic will submit an outbreak report to the health center, so there is no work to be done by the person himself / herself.
If you are positive, please avoid contact with other people as much as possible so as not to infect other people, and wait for the contact from the health center.
Please be sure to follow the instructions of the health center for hospitalization, staying at a hotel, and waiting at home.
Q.If the test result is positive, can you change it to medical insurance covered expenses?
Under the guidance of the health center, even if the result of the PCR test at your own expense is positive, you cannot switch to medical insurance covered expense later. I'm sorry, but please understand.
Q.Can people who have been positive in the past be tested?
Yes, it is possible if it is an own expense PCR test.
Even those who have become positive for the COVID-19 and have been hospitalized or have to wait at home can be tested after being discharged / waiting. A medical certificate will be issued to those who have a negative PCR test.
However, it is thought that it takes about 2-4 weeks after the onset, although there are individual differences in order for the PCR test to be negative.
At present, patients who are discharged from the hospital within 10 days to 2 weeks after the onset of symptoms are considered to have a low risk of spreading the infection to other people.
Q.How can I see the results of the PCR test on the Web?
Patients who have created a Clinic For account, made a reservation from our website, and have undergone an examination can check the results on the Web.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but if you do not have a Clinic For account or have a medical examination without making an appointment for an examination, the data cannot be linked and you will not be able to check the results on the web. Please visit us and receive the results.
Q.Can I get a medical certificate / negative certificate?

Q.When can I get a certificate of overseas travel at the earliest?
